Billie Eilish Portrait
This portrait study of Billie Eilish combines realism with large, rough brush strokes, textures, and a bold color palette. I wanted to make Eilish instantly recognizable but I used an edgy stylization to reflect her personality and work.
All portraits and digital paintings begin in my sketchbook where they are then brought into photoshop and edited to perfect the composition, given base colors, and then shaded. For this portrait, I created custom brushes for the hair as well as downloading additional brushes from the adobe website. Various blending modes were used for shadows on the face and to create the neons on the hair and face.
